Shantika Lynch

Shantika Lynch, born in 1975, was raised in the heart of Watts,
California, within the resilient but challenging environment of Nickerson
Gardens. As the eldest daughter of six children, Shantika’s life was shaped by
circumstances that required strength, maturity, and a deep sense of
responsibility. When her parents fell victim to the devastating drug epidemic
of the 1980s, she stepped into the role of caretaker for her younger siblings at
an early age.
Despite the obstacles she faced—including missing significant
amounts of school to care for her family—Shantika’s determination and
resilience allowed her to graduate from high school. It was during these
formative years that she discovered her passion for hair care, a craft that
would later become the foundation of her professional life.
After earning her cosmetology license, Shantika went on to open and
manage multiple successful hair salons, establishing herself as both a
talented hairstylist and a dedicated entrepreneur. At the age of 21, she
became a mother for the first time with the birth of her daughter. A few years
later, she welcomed her first son and married her husband, who also had a
child from a previous relationship. Together, they ran thriving salon businesses
and expanded their family to six children, including three more sons.
Unfortunately, after 17 years of marriage, Shantika and her husband
divorced. Despite the challenges of raising five children as a single mother,
Shantika continued to focus on her faith, her family, and building a new
legacy. She launched a beauty supply and salon business, combining her
entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the beauty industry. Through every
obstacle, Shantika has demonstrated incredible perseverance, ensuring a
bright future and positive legacy for her children.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Shantika’s faith has been a guiding
force throughout her life. She is deeply passionate about the gospel and is
excited to walk in her calling as an Evangelist, sharing her testimony and
inspiring others through her ministry. Shantika’s journey is one of resilience,
faith, and purpose—a testament to her unwavering commitment to family,
community, and her walk with Christ.
